Just to say and let you know that I started downloading the 1.4GB beta, nine hours ago, and it has only downloaded 35%.
At this rate, the beta will expire before I even get to try it. LOL

LOL Wow ... that's pretty poor. Only took us 6-1/2 hours to upload them and we're with Verizon so that's normal for their DSL. Sorry to hear that, FWIW I think you'll like it once you actually GET it.

Hi,
It took four attempts here, before I finally had it all. The three first times all stopped after about 1/3 was downloaded, for whatever reason (i couldn't find it). Now I've burned it to DVD (using the small standalone BurnCDCC.exe) and am replying from Firefox on KNOS. The first impressions are good; everything appears to be working on first sight. Hardware appears to be all supported, sound and video all run correctly. Firefoc and Evolution are doing what they are expected to. Up for further attempts and tests later. For the moment I'd say; WELL DONE! (apologies for shouting). <grin>

I noticed that last week the link for the beta went missing. Will it be provided again, as I still want to try the software? I just haven't succeeded in downloading to date.

I noticed that last week the link for the beta went missing. Will it be provided again, as I still want to try the software? I just haven't succeeded in downloading to date. Greetings, and sorry to hear that. The sites we currently have the betas on are not very reliable but at this time, we can't afford to host them ourselves. Owing to the sheer size of the files, the bandwidth charges are quite excessive compared to our revenue. Just checked, and they're there now. Every time they vanish, we replace them on the official sites, but since we're stuck with Verizon here, it can take hours for us to reupload them when they vanish. Hopefully soon, we'll have a better arrangement. If you're looking for the 32, the link has changed there as it will every time they drop the file - drop an email to knos@verizon.net if the link you have is now broken and we'll get you the latest one. Once again, apologies for our current situation.

If you ever come across a solution to the "Verizon" problem - I'd sure appreciate finding an alternative!
