Hi, do you know why knos beta 9 stops here on MSI netbook? THANK YOU for testing KNOS! BCM4312 is one card we haven't yet seen until you came along and I guess we have an unhappy answer with that one. And thank you ALSO for the screenshot! That's a huge help to us right there. Broadcom has been a continuing nightmare for us here as they're one horribly uncooperative vendor. I note that yours is a "revision 01" ... that should have been upgraded by your manufacturer to revision "02" since Dell apparently had nightmares with that hardware and forced them to fix it. Sooo ... looks like as soon as the "siba_bwn" driver attached, it went straight into a DMA error as soon as the driver attached and wedged. Had I know that would happen, we would have had it solved already. Given what happened, it's obvious to me that the bwn driver is the wrong one for that particular chipset, and we're going to have to try a fix in our next build. I'm expecting that to be out hopefully sometime next week if you can hang on with us until we can get you a download. DMA wedges are forever unless the hardware can be removed from the machine (not expecting you to do that) ... The GOOD news is that we've just gotten our hands on new Broadcom code which DOES include what you have. That too will be part of the next build and should hopefully solve this for you. Unfortunately, can't do anything about what we have out there this week but we will be trimming the wings on that bwn driver and replacing it with something better. THANKS again for letting me know there was a problem with that - first time I've seen a 4312 wifi ...
