I have given the new beta a run...It was up within 4 minutes, from the DVD. I liked the look of the new 'dark theme'.
I launched the chrome browser and it took me to your homepage.
There is so much there, I don't think I will ever need most of it, e.g Libre Office is one thing that comes to mind.
I took a screenshot as a test, wanting to save it to a usb stick, but when I tried to save it, I got "The folder could not be created".
Overall, I think the current KNOS beta is looking good.

An awful lot of work went into this one and we've very pleased with how few people have reported problems so far. Curious thing about that "folder" thing ... it should have been a file, not a folder. Just a guess here, but the default location will sometimes come up as "recent" on the left, and that's not really a "folder." Give it a try again, and when the "save" box comes up, open the items (down arrow) and you'll see "Other ..." underneath a listing of drives. Saving to any of those would just drop it to the root directory of any of those devices, opening "Other" brings you to a save window. From there, you'll see a listing of drives on the left. If you click on those, it'll show the directory for each one you select. Look for your stick by its size and you should be able to save there. You CANNOT save to a Windows drive, and you cannot save to an NTFS-formatted drive. This is our "security protection" for Windows and writes are not permitted to NTFS. This might be the problem. Most sticks are formatted as "FAT32" and you can write to those or to the "KNOS's Home" or to "Desktop" but that eats up memory. Another location rather than these two is better. Let me know if you have any further problems, I'm going to delete the other duplicate posts.
