When I try to open a .doc file in Libre Office it opens ok if it's in KNOS's home or a local drive but it won't in my NAS (Synology Diskstation). I can copy files ok here via Nautilus.
Also if I try to set a location in the NAS as the "My Documents" path in the LIbre Office>Tools>Options>Path instead of the default "var/home/KNOS" it fails and leaves this field blank.
Edit - Just had a thought. Maybe I should authorise "KNOS" within the NAS as the user rather than the username I use from my LInux box (which seems to work for file access)?
Edit2 - set up "KNOS" as a user but no difference.

I'm not certain if we're getting a traditional Windows mount on that NAS unit or perhaps an NFS mount. By design in the current public release, we mount any external networks as "read only" and that will absolutely prevent proper editing of any items on there by our design. I definitely want to follow up on this one since we seem to have a configuration issue and I haven't had the opportunity to work with one of those devices in our own lab owing to a lack of resources on our end. Definitely want to work with you on this since you're willing.
