The Backup App function backs up like its supposed to, then I copy it to BigDrive - no problems. After reboot, I copy 'MySettings'.tar.gz from BigDrive to KNOS Home - no problem. Upon 'Extract Here' in KNOS Home however, the whole system either locks up or reboots. Should there be a 'Restore App' function in the System Tools to handle the backup?

Sounds like something else is wrong in there then. How big is the file itself? Try opening the file and see how big it's listed as on the inside of the archive as well. I can't see it running out of memory, but I'd have to guess that it might have been packed with the browser still open not giving it a chance to clean out what was in the browser first? Any other signs or warnings before it goes splat? New one on that, so we'll need to dig a little further. You can take it to email if you'd like. I'm easy, at least in this shirt. (grin)

11AUG11 Properties screenshot on its way! Looks perfectly proper. Sounds like whatever was bad in there has finally gone away if it's working now as you're indicating. Couldn't find anything wrong with what you had sent and working just fine on any machine I tried it on here. So if it's working now, we'll have to wait and see if it messes up again and when it does, squirt me a copy of it ...

Is it possible that checking the boxes for 'Extract all files' and 'Overwrite existing files' would have corrected that problem? I know I wasn't checking them at first, but did after a while - but I can't remember if that was exactly when the problem stopped and it started working smooth as silk.
