""For our "cloud-based" method,""
I don't think I've heard you talk about your "cloud-based" method of saving info/preferences/stuff since Beta2 about a year ago - is that still on, or did plans change?

""For our "cloud-based" method,"" I don't think I've heard you talk about your "cloud-based" method of saving info/preferences/stuff since Beta2 about a year ago - is that still on, or did plans change? The original plan for KNOS was as a front end to a cloud computing environment. That's what we originally designed it for, but we've been unable to obtain the investment necessary to build the cloud-based back end for it. We're still hoping to do that someday and of course KNOS is designed to work with a cloud provider's services should we ever find a partner willing to work with us on it. So far though, hasn't yet happened. With a cloud backend, all of these weird little things (including the data USB stick) would have been out there instead. We're still holding out hope of getting there some day though, that was what the KNOS Project was all about originally. But it's an extremely expensive proposition and requires a lot more resources than we currently make that happen. Our OWN operation here though is cloud-based with essentially the same build we're selling with minor modifications. But renting out space and doing the billing and account maintenance is beyond our ability at the present time without a partner or investment for facilities.
