Hi. How to change the password for knos users? There is no password by default. When i try to change it, i leave the password field blank, but when knos authenticate that empty password it become unresponsive. What about the root password? Is it a must to have those passwords for security reasons? Thanks. Attachments:

Is it a must to have those passwords for security reasons? Thanks. Greetings, and apologies for the wait ... things have been quiet around here lately. Sorry for the confusion there, there isn't any "KNOS User" password, authentication is done by verifying that there's a human at the conputer since that's the only means of access to the limited default account. There is also no "root" in KNOS other than the system itself, and so no password for that either. We designed our generic version to avoid the need to deal with passwords because no way to be able to write out any changes to the DVD since it, and the file system are read-only in memory. Further, system files cannot be modified either and that's where passwords would be stored. While we can provide this functionality in a custom build, we thought it would be counterproductive in the generic version since the security structures we provide really don't require doing that, nor provide for it.
