I'm using KNOS on a Sony Vaio i7-26270QM, 8Gb RAM. The video card is a NVidia GeForce GT540M with 1Gb VideoRam.
The problem is the screen resolution. Only have one option, 800 x 600, and cannot change it. Is there anything I can do about this?
Other than the screen resolution everything seems to be working fine.
Thanks

I'm guessing you're a paying customer. There's no need for the forum, we provide personal support via email. This forum exists for folks during our public beta testing cycles which is why it's so sparse in between them. If it's stuck in a low resolution mode, despite our autoconfiguration, that indicates that somehow we're not getting correct screen resolution information from your display to set it properly. I'd like to find out why as well and see if we can fix it for you. Run KNOS, and go up to the top of your screen there. Click on "Applications" and when the menu drops down, select "System tools." From that pop-out menu, you'll see "KNOS-diagnostics." Click that. It will create a plain text file on your desktop which you can examine as deeply as you wish before attaching it to an email back to us. That should give us all the information we need to see if we can figure out how to get you past that. Send me an email with a copy of that as an attachment to support (at) knosproject.com and I'll be happy to work it out for you and see what we can do there.

Hi Kevin,
Yes, I am a paying customer and thanks for the quick response. I ran the KNOS Diagnostics and sent the diag file to you.
Thanks,

Hello Kevin,
I wrote some time back about my screen resolution issues and you said they would be fixed by the release of KNOS ver 9.1. Is there a date for this release? In my computer, the resolution issues, with ver 9, continue.
Thanks,
Jim

Hey there, and sorry for the continuing wait. The KNOS Project has suffered some financial setbacks which have delayed us a bit with fewer staff, but we did resolve that problem about a month and a half ago and the NVidia driver is operating flawlessly now. We're still working on drivers for Intel video and that's been the holdup for release. I'd be happy to hook you up with a copy of 9.1 this weekend if you'd like to grab a copy from us in the meantime, same offer I extended previously. Right now, we're hoping to have the full release by the end of this month but it might slip a couple of weeks further. Once again, apologies for the delay.

Hi Kevin,
Sorry for the delayed response, been away for a few days.
No problem, I can wait for the full release.
