Does/will KNOS have an internal virtual sandbox type of space that can fool banking sites into thinking they are dealing with Internet Explorer, without presenting the risks of IE? I think if the site accepts Firefox there shouldn't be a problem regardless of the OS, but once in a while an IE-only seems to pop up.

I know this was a huge problem up until earlier this year when "Homeland Security" and several banking agencies across the planet said "Lose IE6 or lose your deposit insurance" after all those botnets and other issues with IE. Most banks that *required* IE were the ones still stuck with old java and/or IE6 "ActiveHex" stuff which caused many banks some *serious* losses. Are there any banks left that you know of that won't run in FF? If so, would like to know who they are so we can figure out what their "stupid" is and call the banking cops in on them. Heh. Kidding ... seriously though, if you know of any, point me at them and let's see what we need to do about it. I'd be inclined to tell anybody who is using one of those banks to get their money out of there while it still exists and find a REAL bank, but no ... if there's still an "IE-only" problem, I'll find a way to get the ActiveHex loaded in FF. No WAY are we going to allow Aiyee to run in KNOS ...

You're right - it has been quite a while. I don't have an immediate problem with the sites I use regularly, but I'll let you know if I find it on those once-in-a-while sites .
