In testing IPv6 connectivity at test-ipv6.com/ I got 7/10 for IPv4 / IPv6 both, and 0/10 for IPv6 only. In xp there is the "netsh interface ipv6 install" command to enable IPv6 connectivity. What is the command for KNOS?

In the current build, we have IPv6 turned off primarily because in our current lab environment, we're stuck with Verizon DSL which doesn't properly support it. The core kernel code we've built DOES support it, but it's currently disabled since we were unable to properly configure the kernel at this time other than on our internal network where it worked just fine. Given my doubts though, shut it off. We're planning to have it lit up on the next build and it is self-configuring.
There might be a way to kick it on in the existing build manually as an override of the existing build, but I'll have to go look at my source code when I get back on Tuesday and will let you know if it can be done or not. I suspect we can ...

During the boot process, one of the lines says: "IPv6=YES" so something has changed in the new build with regard to IPv6, but in testing it at test-ipv6.com/I still get 7/10 for IPv4 / IPv6 both, and 0/10 for IPv6 only, just as in KNOS2.

All of the infrastructure required for IPV6 is now in the Beta3, but the problem is that our provider (Verizon) out here where we are does NOT support IPV6 and as a result, aside from test configurations with a local server here in the building, we've had no way to test it, and write a program to make it "user-friendly" as yet. IPV6 does require configuration manually at this time in a console by entering a sequence of commands in a similar manner to making a USB stick at this time. I'm currently away for the Thanksgiving holiday with relatives, but there IS a command that can be run which will do a DHCP setup with IPV6 which is included with all the other good stuff in KNOS Beta3 which *will* work, but I don't have access to it at the moment. Will be back to our offices on Monday, will get back to you about it then once I can look it up and give you the commands. We're a bit limited in getting it working though since Verizon doesn't support it at our location, and our resources at this time are lacking. But the code to do it and support it fully *is* in there! edit: The command in console (su) is rtsol ... but if you try it, it requires some details. I will get back to you once I can dig further into what I did about it a couple of months ago.
