Thanks for the tipoff on that and sorry for the long delay ... we've moved to a new location and then got immediately tied up with work towards next year's KNOS9 and BSD's 9 had some serious issues that caused numerous adventures delaying our internal alpha builds and testing. This place has been so quiet, haven't been by here much. I grabbed both versions last month and got around to them last week for a little while and it's not all that bad. Highly limited, some flaws and lax security but altogether not awful for a simple "browse-only" kinda thingy. But it sure isn't a worry to us ... pity the government didn't go with our thing, but other governments elsewhere seem happier with KNOS.

""We'll let everybody know once we're ready for beta-level testing ... we're almost there! "" <drooling> ;D Ready and Waiting! Will KNOS9 install on the laptop require the disc format then fresh install, or will KNOS recognize its previous version and auto-magically upgrade?

""We'll let everybody know once we're ready for beta-level testing ... we're almost there! "" <drooling> ;D Ready and Waiting! Will KNOS9 install on the laptop require the disc format then fresh install, or will KNOS recognize its previous version and auto-magically upgrade? As is, it will do a completely new install, wiping out all which existed prior. HOWEVER ... I'm working on providing an "upgraydd" module which will just replace the OS and leave everything else intact. Still working on that though - not yet ready for prime time so keep that in mind. If we don't include it in the first beta, just hit me up and I'll send it to you or anyone else separately. On the usual user's 4GB stick without the extended space like you're doing, there's no need for that. But I'm mindful of the many who went and made KNOS their primary so you won't be forgotten when it's time. I've been beating hell out of KNOS 9 all day and even *I* am impressed!
