Would it be possible to make something like Ixquick or Scroogle the baked in default browser search engine for whichever browser you include with KNOS and to not even include the highly blabbermouth Google, Yahoo, Ebay, etc,,,,, So, for example, if I were to research a few years on how to be off-the-grid self- sufficient on a few acres I wouldn't have to worry about Senator Joe Schmoe making a law that says "Anyone living off-the-grid will be taxed at triple the rate of on-the-grid Proper Citizens" and use the Google database to find out who was interested in anything off-grid (After Google is absorbed by the IRS, or vice-versa).

Those are all hard-coded in the browser itself and as far as I can determine quickly (kinda busy building the new 2011 KNOS code) there doesn't seem to be any way to modify those and none of those search engines are available from google's site as the plugins that they are. Given the concern that you and numerous others have had, both Ixquick and Scroogle are available right there on the main welcome page when you fire up either browser - just click the icon there that says "Search" with all the ???'s on it and it's right there. WE control that page, it's ours, and hopefully we can still be trusted last I checked. :)
